Disney helped artists like Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus jumpstart their musical careers, but the company is now aiming straight for the heart of all music-related content: the Internet.

Disney Interactive, Hollywood Records, Radio Disney and Vevo are all joining forces to launch a “premier family-friendly” music hub, according to Billboard.

The partnership will have Disney hosting music video content from VEVO’s expansive catalogue, while Disney will curate the “family-friendly” experience across VEVO’s online, mobile/tablet, and connected TV platforms, in addition to all material on Disney.com.

“Music is a key complement of the Disney.com offering and deepens the premium family entertainment experience we offer guests online,” Jimmy Pitaro, co-president of Disney Interactive, said in a press release. “Now we are amplifying the Disney experience by partnering with the world’s leading digital music video platform.”

In addition to carrying Radio Disney, the portal will also include behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and webisodes for Hollywood Records artists, including Gomez, R5, and Zendaya. VEVO will get its share of artists in the limelight, with its top pop artists like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and One Direction being featured directly on the portal to give its younger viewers easy access to the music videos.

Along with the new video hub, the site will include a music blog that updates its viewers on news pertaining to other happenings in the magical world of Disney.

The creative team behind the website’s revamped features believes this portal will serve as the “definitive music site for families, kids and tweens.”

In February, Disney struck a deal with VEVO to create a “family-friendly” music video experience, but the portal is only in the early stages of its release. The team hopes in time to bring to the table more features, including exclusive music events and premieres, original music programming, and “live music experiences.”

Anyone down for a tots and tweens-oriented Coachella livestream?
